GitHub account setup guide

Effica Grove saves your records in your own GitHub repository. If you do not have an account yet, create one in these five steps. The examples make each screen easy to follow.

   Open github.com

   Sign in

   Sign up

   Select the green Sign up button in the upper-right corner to create an account.

   Enter your email address, password, and username. Your username is used in the URL of the repository where records are stored.

   Enter the eight-digit launch code from the email to activate your account.

   Set up two-factor authentication (2FA)

   If prompted, use an authenticator app on your phone, such as GitHub Mobile, to set a six-digit code. You can also configure this later.

   Return to Effica Grove and sign in

   Get started with GitHub — free

   Select “Get started with GitHub” on the home page to continue to the initial setup.
